Sonkashi Sinha, the latest entrant in Bollywood, pretty much appears familiar with the rules of the game. The grooming that she has received from her parents – Poonam and Shatrughan Sinha – is very much on display in the way she handles a barrage of questions coming her way.
No raw edges, no slip of tongue, no nervous moments – just a confident conversation which is not business like but doesn’t come anywhere close to being frivolous.

A 22-year-old Mexico woman won the Miss Universe pageant Monday night after donning a flowing red gown and telling an audience it’s important to teach kids family values.
Jimena Navarrete of Guadalajara was first to answer an interview question Monday night and the last of 83 contestants standing in the headline-grabbing pageant on the Las Vegas Strip.
Her one-strap gown flowed behind her like a sheet as she walked. Earlier, she smiled in a violet bikini as she confidently strutted across the stage.

The folks behind the sure-to-be-a-hit Halo: Reach have a new viral-marketing tool: a giant robotic arm that users can control remotely to create an online monument to a squad of fallen soldiers featured in the upcoming game.
The arm, a Kuka KR 140, is purportedly stashed in some secret warehouse in San Francisco with an LED light on the end of its articulated joints (for all we can tell, it could be a virtual construct, though even that’s still a cool idea).

The Miss Universe pageant has been whittled to its final five contestants after swimsuit and evening gown competitions. Now, it’s all about their interview skills.
Contestants from Ireland, Albania, South Africa, Guatemala and Puerto Rico were ousted Monday night after walking a Las Vegas stage in long, flowing gowns. Earlier they strutted the stage in violet bikinis.
The five finalists are: 22-year-old Miss Mexico Jimena Navarrete, 19-year-old Miss Australia Jesinta Campbell, 24-year-old Miss Jamaica Yendi Phillipps, 23-year-old Miss Ukraine Anna Poslavska and 22-year-old Miss Philippines Venus Raj.

Apple’s put a touch interface on so many of its other products, could an iMac be next? If a patent application filed with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office is any indication, the answer is possibly yes.
Patently Apple, a blog that keeps tabs on Apple’s USPTO filings, noticed an application on Monday that depicts a hinged-screen version of Apple’s iMac desktop that has a touch-sensitive screen. The hinge appears to allow the computer to alternate between a traditional vertical desktop configuration and a flat, iPad-like surface when rocked back on its hinge.

SAN FRANCISCO — A high-tech tug-of-war between PC giants Hewlett-Packard (HPQ) and Dell (DELL) over tiny data-storage provider 3Par (PAR) underscores their search for profits beyond PCs.
HP’s bid of $24 a share is 33% higher than Dell’s offer last week of $18 a share, putting the value of HP’s offer at about $1.6 billion.
Shares of 3Par soared 45%, to $26.09, signaling that investors expect Dell — or a third party — to make a higher counteroffer.
