Wink e-reader launched in India by EC Media

While the world holds its collective breath for India to actually mass produce that $35 tablet it’s been trumpeting here lately, the country’s own EC Media International is taking the wraps off of a sparkling new e-reader: the Wink.

This cutely titled device doesn’t look much different than older generation Kindles, but it’ll reportedly support 15 languages and will offer 200,000+ book titles right out of the gate.

ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 warm-up matches

ICC has announced the schedule of warm-up matches before the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 to be held at India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.

The 13 warm-up matches will be held from February 12 to 18 at Bangalore, Chennai, Chittagong, Colombo, Dhaka, Nagpur and Pallekele . The schedule of the matches are as follows.

Indian Rupee Symbol now on Mobile Phone With Lava Mobiles

We already knew that the Indian Rupee Symbol has been launched on documents, web and keyboards, now on mobile phones also. Lava Mobiles, an Indian mobile phone brand has launched a new mobile handset(Lava B5) that will have the Rupee symbol integrated on the mobile keypad.

The same Lava B5 mobile, which came out with the first full alpha keypad (means having keys in A,B,C,D format instead of normal QWERTY ones) few days back.

Google buys visual shopping engine Like.com

Google has acquired Like.com, which offers a visual search engine for retail products, a deal aimed at boosting Google’s shopping search capabilities and services like its Products engine.

The acquistion comes years after the first rumors emerged that Google was interested in buying Like.com, which was initially known as Riya when the company was founded in 2004.

Lafangey Parindey:Movie Review

Yash Raj Films’ Lafangey Parindey is the story of One Shot Nandu (Neil) and Pinky Palkar (Padukone). They live in the backstreets of Mumbai and are friends.

While Pinky dreams of winning a reality dance show on television some day, Nandu whiles away his time with friends Chaddi, Diesel and Gulkand. When he is not playing carrom with his friends, he is in the boxing ring. His mentor is Usmanbhai (Piyush Mishra), a common criminal.
