The IPL governing council, which met here on Friday, failed to resolve the vexed issue of the format for its fourth edition next year. “No decision was taken,” interim IPL chairman Chirayu Amin told reporters after the council meeting at the Wankhede stadium.
The format for the 2011 season of the T20 league has been under review following the addition of two more franchises, Pune and Kochi, to the fold earlier this year.

As the IT probe continues, it seems that former IPL commissioner Lalit Modi has indeed decided to take the entire ship with him to the bottom of the ocean. Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar has been accused of a company that bid for the IPL franchisee. However his daughter, Lok Sabha MP Supriya Sule has defended her family and has claimed that they had nothing to do with the Indian Premier League team auctions. (more…)

It’s a double delight for the audience at the IPL 3 final at DY Patil stadium (Nerul) on April 25. Other than the cricket excitement in the evening, the audience will get to see India’s dancing superstar Hrithik Roshan performing live. Hrithik’s dances will also include a promotion activity for his forthcoming home production Kites, which is up for release in May.
“Like the previous seasons, the third season of the IPL this year has been a big hit ever since it started. Most of Hrithik’s songs are popular and his dance performance during the finale will be the icing on the cake. His performance will be part of the closing ceremony. It will be a rocking item.” sources claimed. It is learnt that Hrithik, who is currently in Singapore, has been busy rehearsing for his IPL 3.
